‘ShapePark’ modelled on Switzerland’s Vitaparcours
As Swiss nationals in Israel, we are proud to introduce and publicise examples of Swiss achievements in Israel. In 2014, we introduced Israel to the ‘Vitaparcours’, an archetypally Swiss concept and which we have renamed as the ‘ShapePark’. In collaboration with the municipality of Kfar Saba, we constructed the pilot facility of the first ‘ShapePark’, which was then officially inaugurated in spring 2014 in the presence of the Swiss ambassador.
ISTRA’s strengths: all processes from a single source
From the initial idea through realisation to publicisation, ISTRA TradeLink Ltd. played a leading role in all the action necessary to create Israel’s first Vitaparcours (alias ShapePark). Starting with the preparatory investigations and negotiations, ISTRA was responsible for the following in the first phase of the project:
- search for suitable site in Israel
- presentations in Hebrew, motivational talks, negotiations and signing contracts
- search for, evaluation and selection of suitable suppliers and partners in Switzerland and Israel
- obtaining approvals and consents
Construction of the pilot facility in Kfar Saba ultimately necessitated taking the Swiss concept and adapting it sensitively to local circumstances and then importing and building the facility and finally publicising the innovative fitness concept. Some of the aspects ISTRA TradeLink Ltd. took responsibility for:
- import and transport
- localisation of Swiss printed material, including translation, graphics and printing
- monitoring construction work on site
- photo documentation
- marketing, including choosing a name, logo creation, internet and Facebook pages
- planning and performance of PR activities, advertisement campaigns and production of video clips
- event management (organisation of various events from the opening ceremony to activities on the trail designed to whet interest)
Today, the Vitaparcours ‘ShapePark Kfar Saba’ is gaining in popularity. Amongst other activities, we work with local fitness trainers to further publicise the facilities with events and courses. Learn more about the facilities on the official web page.
